Somali youngsters shocked by influence of war and conflicts
Somlireport24.com Mohamed Ali , a young Somali man aged 23 sat aimlessly in a street corner of Mogadishu near a big tea-shop . He has be confused by conflict , war , unemployment, psychological trauma , stress and the difficulties in the livelihood .
Mohamed is not the only person suffering from problems related to conflict and war because Somalia was in a state of lawlessness in the last 23 years in which the country lacked central government.
Abdulahi Hersi Dirshe is an intellectual and he is still firm the culture of peace . HeTold Somlirepot24.com that the current behaviour of the young people in the country who has grown up in the midst of war and conflict explicits the situation in the country.
“Every person wants acess of education , work and a good condition living ..if these esentials were not met ..the person’s attitiude of life could change easily.he or she may start commit crimes and join organized crime or put his life in danger such going to perillious voyages “ said Abdulahi Hersi.
This stuation obliged to the young people think that they may once go far from war and instability trying to go abroad to start better life as said by Salad Jiumale Barise , a young man in Mogadishu who several times tried out to set out traveling abroad and finally quitted it after he has been employed .
“ I have tried traveling abroad seting out my life in perrilious see voyages but failed, again and again I did so .but when you can’t get money you quit..I quitted ..now I have been employed “ said SALAD.
The yougsters face enourmous problems and that is why they are being used as fuel to ignite war including those by the Al-Qaeda affiliated al shabaab as said again by Salad’
“ The unemployment is widespread in the country and the youngsters have nothing to do, they are helpless and can’t afford living…they are targeted by criminals groups recruitng them to fight for their cause”
