Somali Parliament fails for the third time to start no-confidence vote against the Prime Minister
Uproar and disturbance overshadowed the Somali Parliament session for the third time on Monday over no confidence vote against the current Premier Abdiweli Sheikh Mohamoud.
Parliamentarians supposed to be supporting the President said that the motion started after receiving it distributed inside the Parliament before the speaker of the Parliament arrived the scene.
Dahir Amin Jesow, a lawmaker supporting the President said that the motion was printed out overnight and was distributed today by the Parliament staff.
“The speaker did distribute but as usual the motion was printed out overnight “ said Jesow.
Abdi Barre, a lawmaker supporting the Prime Minister opposed that the motion being distributed among lawmakers without the consent of the Speaker.
“This is illegal, motions can not be distributed without the Speaker and it distributed in the houses and some lawyers came in the Parliament while the motion is in their pockets” said Abdi Barre.
Speaker of the Parliament Mohamed Osman Jawari left the conference hall despite being unable to open the session and at the last wrapped up the session before it opens officially
