Government and AMISOM forces regain control of locations in Galgudud from al shabaab

Government and African Union forces AMISOM on Wednesday took over locations held by al shabaab including : Dirri ,El-Shid Ula-jarad and other key neighborhoods at the south of El-bur district , said official .

Mohamed Kariye Arale, spokesperson of the Government security forces in Galgudud region said the armed forces took control of these neighborhoods without resistance.

“al shabaab pulled out from these locations before our forces arrive , they had got the information that we were ahead” said Kariye

al shabaab officials were not available for commenting on these latest developments in Galgudud.
