Somali Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire held talks with Rwandan president Paul Kagame in Kigali on Monday during his one-day visit.
The leaders have agreed to cooperate on the implementation of the endorsed transition plan that Somali government takes the security responsibility ahead of AMISOM exit 2020.
President Kagame has Pledged to work with Somalia’s Federal Government on the security and the war on the Al-Qaeda-linked Al-Shabaab militants,
AMISOM announced this year conditions-based transition plan, to handover the national security responsibility to the Somali security forces who are currently under recovery.
The African Union forces who are made up of 22,000 soldiers have been in Somalia since 2007 to help the UN-backed government to regain control of the whole country from Al-Shabaab.
