Somali President Holds Phone Talk With The Amir Of Qatar
His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani held a telephone conversation with Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo.
During the phone call, which the Amir received from the president of Somalia yesterday, they reviewed the bilateral relations and ways to enhance them, as well as issues of mutual concern.
The talks came as the Somali government faces pressure for its neutral stance on the diplomatic row between the Saudi-led Arab Alliance and Qatar which began June 5, 2017.
The relations between Somalia and Qatar has been improving since the Gulf crisis started as Mogadishu committed to staying on its previous neutrality decision despite challenges.
