Thirty Somali artists conduct arts exhibition in Mogadishu
It is the first art exhibition conducted in Mogadishu since the collapse of Somalia’s central government in 1991, says Jibril Abdulle , director of Centre of Reconciliation and Dialogue which organized the exhibition displayed art pieces on policy , culture and experience attained during the civil strife including piracy .
“ The aim of the exhibition is sending a message to the world on Somali arts and its value to the society” said Abdulle.
The art demonstration was financed by Palmira Ciacciarelli , an Italian woman artist whose family has a background history on arts and were attended by Ministers , lawmakers, foreigners and some of the residents of Mogadishu.
