Somalia to establish a constitutional Court before elections in 2016
Efforts are underway for setting up for the first time in Somalia , a constitutional court deals primarily with constitutional law, as said by Abdirahman Jibril , former Minister of Constitutional Affairs who spoke to Somalireport24.com.
Jibril said the aim of the court is to rule on whether or not laws that are challenged are in fact unconstitutional,whether or not they conflict with constitution.

This coincides when constitutional appear from the recent rift between the top politicans creating tension and uncertainity .
The court also has power to evise laws of the federal states , said Jibril who also a lawmaker .
Presidential elections are expected to be held in Somalia in 2016 making necessary setting up such a court before the elections.
