Somali president heading to Saudi Arabia for a security meeting
A high-level delegation led by Somali president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud is set to pay a two-day visit to Saudi Arabia to attend a security meeting on east African stability.
Foreign and finance ministers will accompany the president on his landmark visit to Saudi Arabia’s capital Riyadh, after receiving an official invitation from Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, sources revealed.
The conflict in Yemen and security of the east Africa will be high on the agenda at Riyadh meeting, which is expected to bring together the Ethiopian PM Hailemariam Desalegn and president of Djibouti Ismail Omar Guelleh.
