Somali president arrives in Kampala, meets with his Ugandan counterpart
President of the federal government of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has on Sunday arrived the Ugandan capital, Kampala on an official visit in the east African nation.
On arrival, Somali president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and his high-level delegation was warmly welcomed at Entebbe airport by his Ugandan counterpart Yoweri Museveni and has been escorted to the president palace in Kamapala.
Reports indicate that both leaders have discussed during their meeting a range of issues mainly bilateral relations, war on Al shabaab militants and security of the region.
Uganda has contributed the bulk of troops serving under African Union mission in Somalia (AMISOM), a UN-mandated strong force made of 22,000 soldiers fighting Al shabaab since 2007.
