Somali Police chief  Gen. Abdi Hassan Hijar visited the residence of former President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud in the Mirinayo neighborhood,

Gen. Hijaar was accompanied by the Deputy Police chief and the Police Spokesperson in a visit that was part of ongoing demilitarition  efforts in Mogadishu led by Prime Minister Roble.

“Poloce chief Abdi Hassan Hijaar along with the Deputy Commander and Spokesperson of Somali Police Force visited the residence of former President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, and discussed security plans for the candidates during the elections, ” Somali police force said.

Former President Hassan Sheikh welcomed the Chief of Police and praised his contribution to efforts to end the crisis in the city.

The meeting between Mr. Hijar and former head of state came after demilitarization process kicked of on Friday
