Somali Minister involves massive salary theft
Minister of Labor Abdiweli Ibrahim Mudey is keeping campaign against staff of Ministry of Labour because he wants to replace directors and other employees so he can employ his clan associates and enrol some names who will not do any work for government but he will be pocketing their salaries everything month.
Since being appointed Minister Abdiweli Mudey who is famous within members of parliament of collecting bribes during parliamentary sessions, started threats to dismiss employees of Labour Ministry who are now working in conditions of fear and future uncertainty.
Reliable sources at Ministry of Labour said that Abdiweli Mudey is going to sack in coming days some 8 senior workers in his ministry including director General Aweys Sheekh Hadad.
Abdiweli Mudey is bringing in the ministry people who are his neighbours, clan associates and persons sent by someone who gave him a lot of money in exchange of using Ministry of Labour for cover up. Persons Mudey is trying to appoint for higher positions at Ministry are named Hussein Hashi and Nadif who are aspiring to be Permanent Secretary, Director General or director of division at the Ministry.
Minister wants to sack illegally some Directors such as Abdisaaq Macalin Ilmi, Salaad Abdule and Saiid Aadan Mire (Saiid Kontener) whom Mudey believes he can sack without consulting prime minister.
So as to employ new employees and sack current employees Mudey aims to sack director of labour Abdisaaq Macalin Ilmi and head of finance Saiid Aadan Mire (Saiid Kontener) so he can easily remove employees, recruit new employees and can have access to salaries of those he replaced.
Just last week Abdiweli Mudey dismissed from their employment three workers who were sent by Ministry of Labour for education outside country, because Mudey is taking advantage from their absence.
Minister of Labour ordered administration of Ministry not to provide fuel for vehicle of Director General Aweys Hadaad. Following this development Aweys went to Minister Mudey’s house to complain about refusal of fuel for his car but Mudey ordered Aweys to get out from his house before Director General even talked about his problem.
