NISA director says learnt lessons from Sahafi hotel bombing
Gen Abdirahman Turyare, the head of Somali National Security Intelligence Agency (NISA) said they learnt a lesson from the recent Al shabaab attack on Sahafi hotel in Mogadishu which killed 15 people.
Giving an interview with VOA Somali service, Mr Turyare said NISA will soon launch an operation to eliminate Al shabaab from their remaining bastions in the country’s south and central regions.
“We set up plans to step up fighting against Al shabaab,” said NISA director.
Al shabaab militants in Somalia have this week stormed Sahafi, a popular hotel in the heart of the capital and killed 15 people, including a lawmaker and former chief of armed forces.
