Joint forces weeds out new towns from Al-shabaab Militant
Somali federal government forces backed by AMISOM troops have took over Cadale town in Middle shabelle region following military offensives against Al-shabaab militant groups in the country’s southern regions.
The joint forces also seized Haji Ali, Kogar and Adow villages in Cadale town outskirts according to Somali government spokesperson. He stated that Al-shabaab militants evicted those towns as the government forces set up military bases.
“We will carry on anti –Al-shabaab assaults until forces are capturing the remaining towns in the southern districts “ Daa’uud Haji Iro said. The official has called aid agencies to deliver food and other humanitarian assistance to the needy people in Middle Shabelle region in a subsequent to severe drought.
US manned and unmanned aircraft has raided al-shabaab leader last month despite al-shabaab was withdrawing their strongholds in a result of joint military offensives, which is dubbed Indian Ocean.
