Army starts operation to clear roads leading to Bulla Burte
Federal government of Somalia forces backed by AMISOM peacekeepers have today started an operation to open the roads that link Beletweyne and Bula Burte .
The army left the district of Beletweyne in two fronts and they are aiming to open the roads blocked by Al Shabab. Reports indicate that the army overcome a short defensive ambush by Al Shabaab militia near Luuq Jellow .
Officials taking part in the operation have told Radio Bar-kulan that they have killed two Al Shabaab militia so far. It is almost year now since the roads linking Bulla Burte and Beledweyn has been closed by Al Shabab.
