The federal government of Somalia is deeply saddened the brutal action that took place today in Dhahar city in Sanaag region where a Puntland police man opened  fire indiscriminately against unarmed civilians who were peacefully demonstrating against the regional government in Puntland.

Every action taken to harm unarmed civilians is unacceptable. The federal government of Somalia calls for maintaining peace and stability.
