President Hassan Reaches Paris, France

Somalia President Hassan Sheikh Mahmud has reached in a landmark and historical visit to Paris, yesterday where the president received warm welcome from the senior France government officials for the first since the civil war broke out in the war-torn nation in 1991.

The president’s official visit to Paris accompanied him by the minister for foreign Affairs, Investment and promotion, the National Security Adviser Abdirahman Sheikh Isse, and  the minister for Defence Mohamed Sheikh Hassan.

Somali ambassador to France and head mission to the European Union welcomed the president to France. President Hassan scheduled to have talks with his counterpart Francois Hollande at Elysee Palace in heart of Paris.

“Presidents will highlight strengthening the bilateral relations between Somalia and France, it demonstrates how the world countries are ready to have collaboration with the current Somali government “said Ambassador Ali Said Fiqi.
