Somali President Hassan Shekh Reaches Addale Locality in Middle Shabelle region
Somali President Hassan Shekh Mahamuud and other Somali government officials reached Addale locality in Middle Shabelle ragion, where the joint forces liberated five days back from Al-shabaab militant groups.
Hundreds of Adale residents gathered main roads in the town to participate president’s welcome for the first time following months of Al-shabaab command in that area. The president is due address his travel on the village.
Somali federal government and the AMISOM troops tightened the security to avert any retaliatory onslaughts from the defeated group. Middle Shabelle governor Ali Guud Laawe praised the arrival of the president and called residents to inform security authorities any al-shabaab threat.
The allied forces driven out al-shabaab key strongholds in the southern distracts also Somali government has offered an amnesty for Al-shabaab defectors in a bid to integrate their families again.
Recently Somali president Hassan Shekh Mohamud stated that Al-shabaab’s power undermined and called youths within the group to join the peace progress made by the Somali government and international partners.
