Somali President meets World Bank officials
Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud who is in New York for 69th UN annual general assembly has meet deputy World Bank director for Africa Mukhtar Diop and other senior officials of the financial institution.
President Mohamud has presented his government economic plans to the World Bank in an effort to receive help to revive the collapsed economy in the horn of African country.
Sheikh Mohamud said he is optimistic that the bank will respond to his government efforts to revive the economy which is slowly recovering after two decades of civil war.
Somali government delegation has also meet representatives of organization of Islamic cooperation (OIC), ICRC and expected to meet the UN secretary general later
