Police Arrest Six Robbery Suspects In Mogadishu
Somali police have arrested six suspects linked to a series of robberies in the capital Mogadishu.
Somali police spokesman, Sadiq Adan Ali, said they recovered guns during the arrest which the suspects used to threaten Mogadishu residents.
According to the spokesman, one of the suspects robbed an electronic shop in Mogadishu
“The operation by the Somali Police Force was aimed at pursuing gangs who have been terrorizing residents armed with weapons,” Somali Police Spokesman Sadik Adan Said.
He added that one person who had fallen victim to the theft managed to identify one of the suspects.
The suspects are currently in police custody aiding with investigations before they are arraigned.
Incidents of robberies have been on the rise in the past months in the city.
