Baidoa Police open fire against people celebrating a new-wed couples
At least five people were injured on Saturday night after seurity forces in Baidoa exchange fire with clan militia escorting a convoy of newly-wed couples and their friends and relatives
.
The militia escorting the newly-wed couples were firing bullets to the sky as a jubilation as security forces in Baidoa previously issued warning against firing live bullets as elebration.
The Police who infuriated by these celebrations fired againt the militia escorting the newly-married couples .
Those injured were among the people following the married couples and they were hastled to Baidoa main hospital, as said by Mohamed Ali Ibrow, a poliee officer in Baidoa.
Baidoa G overnor , Mohamed Ali Hoosow has comdenmed the action.
“ It is illegal using live bullets against civilians celebrating a new marriage occasion “ said Hoosow.
“ We are to start an enquiry and those behind will put before trial “ he added.
