On the occasion of International Labor’s Day, Prime Minister Roble thanked them for their hard work and dedication to the nation, wishing them and their families good health and prosperity.
“It is with great pleasure that I join the workers in Somalia to celebrate International Labour Day. I wish to take this opportunity to congratulate all the workers & employers for their big role in Somalia’s progress ” PM Roble said.
“The Somali government is focused on developing the skills of the Somali workforce, protecting their rights in all areas and creating new job opportunities to reduce the unemployment rate in the country”, he added.
Labour Day is a yearly holiday where people from all over the world celebrate workers achievements.
It is synonymous with International Workers’ Day in most countries and usually occurs on 1st May every year.
