Puntland regional state has nowadays been working on army rebuild by recruiting and enlisting young ex-alshbab fighters who defected from alshabab as confirmed by ex-puntland secret service known as Hasan Yare. This seems to be increasing security threats as regional army integrates ex-alshabab fighters.
Ahmed Cagol who is close relative to the security minister played role in enlisting new army members.
In the past we witnessed high ranking army officials in the regional state who used to alshabab or Daish fighters before the they joined the regional army.
