Farmaajo Congratulates New Tanzanian President
Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo has congratulated Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan for taking the oath of office as President of the United Republic of Tanzania.
Farmaajo said he is looking forward to ”assure you of our firm support as you lead Tanzania towards a prosperous future”
”Hongera your Excellency Samia Suluhu on the historic occasion of your assumption of office as the 6th President of Tanzania.
”On behalf of the Gov’t and the people of the Federal Republic of Somalia, I assure you of our firm support as you lead Tanzania towards a prosperous future,”
Wearing a red hijab, she took her oath of office on the Holy Quran in a ceremony at State House in the commercial capital Dar Es Salaam.
She is the first female head of state in the country of 58 million.
