Gunmen kill gov’t tax collector in Mogadishu
Unknown gunmen have early Sunday gun down a government soldier in Sinay market of Yaqshid district in the capital Mogadishu.
Witnesses have confirmed that the soldier was shot several times by assailants armed with Pistols while on his normal duty of collecting tax fees from the business shops in the market.
The deceased security comrades have injured and nabbed one among the attackers, while two others have managed to escape from the scene.
Security forces have immediately arrived at the scene of the attack and started conducting a manhunt operation to arrest the two suspects who fled into the market.
Tax collectors in the Somali capital have been increasingly targeted several times by unknown gunmen.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack but such attacks have in the past blamed to Al-Shabaab militants.
