Galmudug State launches operation against pirates, to free hostages
Forces belonging to Galmudug state of Somalia have launched an operation aimed to set free 9 foreign hostages reportedly held by pirates.
Four Iranians who were part of 13 foreign nationals held by the pirates have been released and escorted to Adado city. Galmudug forces are tracking down the pirates who are holding the other hostages.
Galmudug state of Somalia has in the past promised to fight against the pirates holding illegally the commercial ships and crew members in its territories.
