Training for women MPs opens in Kampala
A selection of women parliamentarians in the Federal parliament of Somalia are taking part in a training in Kampala .
The first deputy speaker of the Federal parliament ,Jaylyani Nur Likar opened the training which will improve the role women play in the assembly especially in politics.
The training is organized by the NGO, The Association of European Parliamentarians with Africa (AWEPA. According to the Deputy Speaker , the training is part of three training in which the other two will be held in Addis Ababa and Kigali.
The Deputy Speaker said the parliamentary leadership is giving a priority to women as they are the backbone of the society.
